Cover Reveal: The Dream Gatherer
I have a "little book", consisting of a novella, two short stories, and my own interior illustrations, being released October 30, As for the seventh Green Rider novel, it is currently in progress and untitled, with no set publication date. There is no set number of books in the series. I will leave it up to the story to determine the number. From a very young age I loved to read, and that love of reading evolved into a love of writing. Through my school years, I received enough encouragement from teachers that I grew confident enough of my writing to stick with it.
The beautifully-written lead character, Karigan G'ladheon, and the concept of a group of messengers on horses serving their king and queen, combined to create a series of books I simply adored. That adoration took a hit in early when I picked up Mirror Sight and promptly put it back down again, where it remained on the shelf for four years. The sixth book in the series, Firebrand continues the story from where we left of at the end of Mirror Sight , with Karigan struggling to reintegrate herself into her original time and crippled by emotion and heartache. This was my favourite part of the book, not only because I love those sorts of preparatory and character development storylines, but also because I felt the second half of the book lost some of its direction and floundered a little in authorial contrivance. Now, to be fair, I am more than willing to admit that I am hyper-aware of what I call authorial contrivance — when you can see the hand of the author directing events to achieve a specific outcome. The second half of Firebrand was not in itself a problem — I liked the quest that was set before Karigan and the interplay of characters back at the castle.
Add to Bag. It also includes the series backstory, penned by Britain, and an introduction by author Julie E. Check them out below the catalog copy. The book is available for preorder now , and will be released October 23, Celebrating the 20th anniversary of the New York Times bestselling Green Rider series, this short volume introduces readers to new sides of Sacoridia in two new short stories and a novella. The Dream Gatherer Dreams can be dangerous.
