Trishas Table: My Feel-Good Favorites for a Balanced Life by Trisha YearwoodNEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER
Country music superstar, Food Network standout, and bestselling cookbook author Trisha Yearwood shows how delicious foods and wholesome dishes are part of the same balanced lifestyle.
Trisha Yearwood is as much a force in the kitchen as she is on stage. But after years of enjoying decadent Southern comfort food, her culinary philosophy is evolving. As Trisha says, “I have adopted an 80/20 rule: 80 percent of the time I make good choices; 20 percent of the time I let myself splurge a little.”
Whether surprisingly virtuous or just a little bit sinful, the recipes in Trisha’s Table all bring that unmistakable authenticity you’ve come to love from Trisha. You’ll find brand-new dishes emblematic of the variety and balance Trisha champions. They skimp on anything but flavor, including dairy-free Angel Hair Pasta with Avocado Pesto, low-calorie Billie’s Houdini Chicken Salad, vegetarian Smashed Sweet Pea Burgers, and tasty, high-protein Edamame Parmesan, alongside too-good-to-give-up family favorites, such as Slow Cooker Georgia Pulled-Pork Barbecue, Chicken Tortilla Casserole, Snappy Pear-Cranberry Crumble, and Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Balls.
Trisha wants to feed her loved ones—and yours, too—food that tastes good and food that’s good for you. So pull up a seat at Trisha’s Table and dig in!

Soups July 4, By Chris. When I read the reviews online a couple of days later every single person who had tried it after they watched the show gave it a thumbs up and a 5 star rating so I knew it had to be a winner. This was the perfect answer, it was in the crock pot set on low, ready for guests to grab a bowl. It was the perfect dinner buffet for a busy night with people coming and going at different times. You could easily serve 8 people with this recipe and you might even have a little left over for lunch the next day depending on the size of your servings.
One of my favorite kitchen tools, I use this handheld vacuum sealer everyday for deli meats, cheeses, veggies and more! Love, love! Love these measuring cups from Oxo. Read measurements right from the top, no bending, stooping or eyeballing - they're another favorite! Get New Posts by Email. Football Grub! Party Food.
With a second day off from work due to hurricane Sandy, Neal and I took full advantage of the time to get some more things done around the house and to prep for the work week ahead. After a morning of meal planning and recipe hunting, Neal and I headed over to Cosi for lunch before running a few errands. A side of carrots and a Coke Zero rounded out my lunch. After an afternoon of running errands, grocery shopping, cleaning, and e-mailing, Neal and I headed over to Golds Gym for a workout. My poison of choice was the cybex… I always get an awesome workout on this machine without fail! I did 30 minutes on the Cybex, level 5, at high intensity.
