The Bible doesn’t talk about climate change, right?
A: The debate about global warming has gathered like a thunderstorm. While issues of natural resources and the environment loom on the political agenda, many special interest groups and activists, including some extremists, have attached themselves to this cause. Josh Gibson, pastor of Emmanuel Bible Fellowship Church in Pennsylvania, chat with podcast host Peterson Toscano about the Bible, stewardship, loving our neighbor, heaven, and earth. Discover how these Evangelicals approach the often political topic of climate change, and learn how to connect with Bible believers, who may not consider themselves environmentalists but who care very much for what happens to people and to our earthly home. Not only does he predict changes in weather patterns, he develops a plan of how to look after the people. People should say more of this kind of thing at synod. They should say more of this in almost all dull meetings. Certainly, it is an arresting figure of ecological doom. All these things, the dean said, were happening now, he had seen them on his travels in Africa, where global warming is already causing havoc. Leviticus 18 , in particular, is a long list of sexual prohibitions addressed to the ferociously libidinous men of a slave-holding society where women are a dangerously filthy form of property even when they are not actually slaves. These are not the sins for which we nowadays expect God to reserve his sternest punishments.
In the latest episode of Citizens' Climate Radio, three American Evangelicals discuss faith, theology, and global warming.

Global Warming, God and the “End Times”
Climate Change and the Bible. Genesis And the LORD smelled a sweet savour; and the LORD said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake; for the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done. While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease. When I was a boy, Summers were brighter and warmer than they are today. In Winter, we always had snowfalls, that made the place look pretty on Christmas Day, but the snow did not last long enough to cause damage.
What does the Bible say about? While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night, shall not cease. The earth lies defiled under its inhabitants; for they have transgressed the laws, violated the statutes, broken the everlasting covenant. Therefore a curse devours the earth, and its inhabitants suffer for their guilt; therefore the inhabitants of the earth are scorched, and few men are left. But you shall keep my statutes and my rules and do none of these abominations, either the native or the stranger who sojourns among you for the people of the land, who were before you, did all of these abominations, so that the land became unclean , lest the land vomit you out when you make it unclean, as it vomited out the nation that was before you.
